How It Works

  1. Install the plugin — install and activate the Catalog Export Manager in your nopCommerce admin panel. The plugin registers its background task and admin menu automatically.
  2. Create an export template — go to the Export Manager admin section and create a new template. Choose the entity type to export (e.g. Product, Category, Manufacturer), the output file format, and encoding settings.
  3. Configure column mapping — add columns to the template by selecting from the available data sources for the chosen entity. Set column names, order, and — for XML exports — XPath definitions.
  4. Set filters and destination — optionally filter the export by store, category, warehouse, manufacturer, or vendor. Choose where the file should go: download only, a local folder, or an FTP/SFTP/FTPS server.
  5. Enable scheduling — activate the built-in scheduler for the template, select which days and times it should run, and let the background task handle automated delivery from that point on.
  6. Monitor results — review export run history in the Report section of the admin panel. Each run is logged with its status and any warnings or errors for easy monitoring.
