Installation and configuring plug-in Popup Manager

The plugin shows popup windows on your store - a sale, a coupon, an important message. You choose the page, the products, the customers and the dates.

It's easy to configure the plugin. See pictures.

1. Open 'FoxNetSoft' - 'Popup Manager' in the admin menu. 'List' shows your popup windows, 'Configure' has the plugin settings.

Open 'Configure' and check that 'Enabled' is on. If it is off, no popup window is shown on the store.

2. Open 'List' and press 'Add new'. The grid shows if the popup window is published, its browser mode, type, name, stores and admin comment.
The unregistered version is limited to 5 popup windows.

3. On the 'Main' tab tick 'Published'. It is off for a new popup window, and without it the customer does not see the window.
Enter the 'Name'. The customer does not see it, it is for you.
'Title' is the header of the window. 'Body' is the content, you can add text, pictures, links and tables in the editor.
'Standard' is the default text. Use the language tabs if you need the text in other languages.

4. 'Type' selects the page where the popup window opens. 'All pages' shows it on every page of the store.

5. 'Custom methods' shows the popup window on any other page. Enter the 'Controller name' and the 'Action name' of this page. Example. 'Catalog' and 'Search' is the search page of the store.

6. 'Browser mode'. 'Both', 'Desktop' or 'Mobile' - the devices that see the popup window.
'Start date' and 'End date' set the period of a campaign. The dates are in UTC. Leave them empty if the popup window is not limited by time.
'Display order' is the order of the popup windows.
'Limited to customer roles' and 'Limited to stores' show the popup window only for the selected roles and stores. Leave them empty for all customers and all stores.

7. 'Auto Close Window after XXX second(s)'. Leave it empty or 0 if the customer should close the window.
'Show popup window only one time'. The plugin saves a cookie in the customer's browser and does not show this popup window again to this browser. 'Time expired for cookie (days)' is the lifetime of the cookie, after it the popup window could be shown again. 0 means 5 years.
'Delay (seconds)' is the pause after the page is loaded.
'Custom CSS style' is the name of a CSS class for the window, not the CSS rules.
'Width' and 'Height' are in pixels. You should set 'Width'. If it is empty the window is only as wide as its text and a long title is cut.

8. You could limit the popup window to selected products, categories and manufacturers. Save the popup window first, then use the tabs. They appear only for these types:
'Category page' - 'Category mappings'.
'Manufacturer page' - 'Manufacturer mappings'. It looks the same as 'Category mappings'.
'Product details page' - 'Product mappings', 'Category mappings', 'Manufacturer mappings' and 'Conditions'.

'Category page' and 'Manufacturer page'. The popup window opens only on the mapped pages. If nothing is mapped it opens on all of them.
'Product details page'. The popup window opens if the product is mapped, or it is in a mapped category, or it has a mapped manufacturer. If nothing is mapped and there are no conditions it opens on all products.

9. 'Conditions' work only for the type 'Product details page'. Example. Show the popup window only for products with a price greater than 500.

'Type' is 'Product' or 'ProductSpecification'. For 'Product' the properties are Category, Manufacturer, Price, Quantity, Pre Order, Free Shipping, Has Special Price, Product Age Days, Has Old Price and Has Discount (percent).
All conditions must be true, there is no 'OR' between them.
A product that matches the mappings of step 8 shows the popup window without checking the conditions.
Price, Quantity, Product Age Days and Has Discount use whole numbers and work only for simple products. A grouped product never passes them. Quantity also needs 'Manage stock' on the product.

10. You could also add a popup window directly from the admin page of a product. Open the 'Popup Manager' card and press 'Add a new popup window'. The category and manufacturer pages have the same card.

Select the popup windows in the list and press 'Save'.

11. This is how the popup window looks on the store. This example has no 'Width', so its title is cut (see step 7).

The window needs jQuery and jQuery UI on the page. The standard nopCommerce themes have them, check it if you use a custom theme.
If the trial period or the license has expired, the popup windows are not shown on the store.
