This method PrepareCategoryModel is taking us an averaged of 17 seconds to complete.

Is there any way this to be optimized?

Do you mean this method in our plugin?

If yes.
1. Do you use nop 4.00?
2. Write me how many subcategories does this category have.
3. Can you check the MSSQL Profiler and check this MSSQL request?
I want to see if the problem is in stored procedure or in C# code....
4. Send me the number of products from this "bad" category.

Do you have sandbox?
Can I connect to it and try with advanced plugin log information?
I am interesting in it.

If you use native nopcommerce method you should fine the problem places in this method.

After installation, the nopCommerce 4.10 site does no longer work (error 502). Event log contains the following:

After removing plugin from the directory it works again.

Can you check the memory size at your server?

Enable STDOUT log for nopcommerce and try to install plugin.

Memory is 3.4GB committed of 8GB, so there's plenty of free memory.

I'll try the logging sometime when there are no customers in the shop.

Do you have the native nopcommerce kernel library?
